If you use another person as a tool of your own devise, they are still guilty and so are you. For example, if you broke into a locked bathroom and sent in your relative, naked, to assault the person in the bathroom, you’re still both guilty of assault. 

Also, did I blackmail them or did they blackmail me?  The latter of course.
