It speaks volumes of the rationality of those involved that they feel comfortable controlling a person’s life completely, either directly or indirectly, without telling them why or even letting them explain why they have no right to.  Or even better yet have a dialogue which may include both. 

Being veiled in secrecy and making decisions based on someone else’s claims without hearing what the accused has to say about it is what Satan himself would do to influence those to join his legion during the last battle. You are pawns to no one but your own inability to be something worth the cells your made of.
